Medication Supply Issues

We are having difficulty with obtaining several common items of medication at present. This includes but is not limited to medicines for HRT, diabetes and cholesterol. Our inability to get these things is a problem as none of our three main wholesalers are able to give consistent supply of these items due to wider shortages.

This should not reflect on the dispensary staff or their dedication as they are doing everything they can to try to secure supplies of your medication.

There may be times when other pharmacies are able to get medications that we cannot as they have larger contracts with the wholesalers and are supplied first during times of shortages.

We appreciate that this current situation is frustrating for everyone, most of all our hard-working dispensary staff but would like to remind you that we are doing our best and that all of our patients and staff deserve to be respected and spoken to politely. >

Yours, Dr Vipas and the team.

We are not currently booking patients for first vaccines or second vaccines at the surgery due to the vaccine that is used in younger age groups needing to be stored at extremely low temperatures.

COVID-19 Results

If you have had a test organised by the surgery we are more than happy for you to call to discuss your results. If however you have been tested by your employer or in a testing environment outside the surgery we would ask that you contact the organiser of your test as we do not always have capacity to deal with these results.

NEW: Text message appointment reminders.  If you would like to receive reminders for your appointments, please contact the surgery.

We have started to send text messages to patients for health promotion and appointment confirmation reminders.

Please ensure that the surgery has your correct mobile telephone number

Appointment reminders by text are an additional service and these may not take place on all occasions, the responsibility of attending appointments or cancelling them still rests with the patient.

The surgery does not offer a reply facility to enable patients to respond to texts directly.

Text messages are generated using a secure facility. However please understand that they are transmitted over a public network onto a personal telephone and as such may not be secure. However, the practice will not transmit any information which would enable an individual patient to be identified.

Owing to the near universal popularity of this service we make the assumption that having given us your phone number we may make calls or texts to it but if you have particular needs please let us know.
