Appointments

Ring our main switchboard number on (01636 821023) to book an appointment. The telephone line is open from 8am until 6.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

We now have a few GP appointments and telephone advice appointments available to book online.  If you are not already registered for SystmOnline for your repeat medication, please come to reception for a username and password.

Urgent cases are seen on the day.

If your condition is non-urgent , you can expect to see a GP within two working days, though you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular GP.  If you don't need an appointment within two working days, you also have the option to book up to one month in advance if this is more convenient for you.

Our Practice Nurse will treat patients for a wide range of common conditions. You can expect to see the nurse within two working days. 

If your call is an emergency, select the emergency option when calling.

Let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen.  Where possible, we can offer you consecutive appointments.

Tell us if you want someone to accompany you during an examination or a private room to discuss any matters.

You can book to have a telephone consultation with a doctor. He or she will ring you during the morning or evening surgery, on the telephone number you have given

Please telephone reception before 10am to arrange a home visit and let us know if your condition is urgent.

A doctor or nurse may telephone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice or it might appropriate to send a nurse or arrange a hospital attendance.

Our doctors typically see four patients in the practice in the time that it takes to do a single home visit.  For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.  However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend the surgery.

We now have access to an Acute Home Visiting Service which is staffed by senior nurses and paramedics and there may be times when we feel your needs are either urgent and need to be seen before we have finished our morning surgeries or that their skills may better address your needs.
